Cine-Monde

Rolling Hills Estates, CA –Join us for PVLD’s Ciné-Monde, a film series featuring notable films from around the globe, independent American cinema and documentaries. Our next film showing will be at 5:30pm, Thursday, October 11 in the Peninsula Center Library Community Room. This event is free and open to the public. Following the film, there may be a brief discussion facilitated by the coordinator of the series.

About the film: Winner of many awards around the world, including Best Foreign Language Film Oscar for 2012, this Iranian drama details the troubled inner workings of a family breaking apart at the seams. Populated with a tremendous cast and working from a pitch-perfect script, this film transcends its family drama roots to become a statement on life in Iran and the people who live there.  

The film will be presented in Persian with English subtitles.
