Ciné-Monde: Global cinema at the Peninsula Center Library
Rolling Hills Estates, CA –Join us for PVLD’s Ciné-Monde, a film series featuring notable films from around the globe, independent American cinema and documentaries. Our next film showing will be at 5:30pm, Thursday, November 8 in the Peninsula Center Library Community Room. This event is free and open to the public. Following the film, there may be a brief discussion facilitated by the coordinator of the series.
About the film: This Oscar nominated drama is set in the world of academia in Jerusalem, as it follows the growing rivalry between father and son. One craves acclaim, while the other disdains academia. The result is an award-winning drama, with hints of dark comedy, focusing on the viewpoints between father and son as they clash.
The film will be presented in Hebrew with English subtitles.
