42nd Annual Whale Fiesta

Co-sponsored by Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Cetacean Society, the annual Whale Fiesta celebrates marine mammals, and the beginning of the migration of the Pacific gray whales along Southern California.

More than 20 marine life organizations will exhibits and provide information about their efforts to bring awareness and to protect these animals. Cabrillo Whalewatch naturalists will also give talks throughout the day.

This year's celebration will feature a life-sized sand sculpture of a pod of orcas, a "Great Duct Tape Whale Contest," arts and crafts, face painting, music, a puppet show and a grand finale where participants will become a single "living whale."
