Who's Palos Verdes' Person of the Year?

TIME magazine named President Obama its person of the year for the second time. Tell us who you think should win from Palos Verdes!

On Dec. 19, Time magazine named President Obama its Person of the Year, again.

The magazine invited votes on 40 candidates, including the president, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un. Other options included The Mars Rover and the Higgs Boson Particle, Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, and Apple CEO Tim Cook. But, the president took the title again four years after he first won the award as president-elect in 2008.

But who cares about the same-old, same-old? Who is Palos Verdes’ Person of the Year—the man or woman who, in Timespeak, “most influenced the news this year for better or worse”?

Tell us your pick and why he or she should be Palos Verdes’ Person of the Year in the comment section below.

Jody Pastell. She has committed her entire professional life to educating Palos Verdes students. First as a teacher, then administrator, then on to Principal (which sge has remained Cornerstone's principal for 15 years), and overlap of 2 jobs as Director of curriculum for the school district. Now she continues to be principal at Cornerstone while overseeing new education adoptions for inquisitive based learning. Never has anyone worked so tirelessly for the children of Palos Verdes.
