Why Go: This week's installment of Manhattan Beach's Concerts in the Parks features Hollywood U2, a lively U2 tribute band. Pack a picnic and don't forget a lawn chair or blanket!

CELEBRATE WELLNESS: A FOOD AND WINE TASTING EVENT

Where/When: South Coast Botanic Garden, 26300 Crenshaw Blvd., Palos Verdes Peninsula; July 10, 4 p.m.

Why Go: Help provide support programs for cancer patients and loved ones by attending this fundraising event sponsored by Cancer Support Community-Redondo Beach. Sample delicious selections from local restaurants and enjoy tempting libations from wineries and breweries, take a stroll through the garden and peruse the many items up for silent and live auction. Proceeds benefit the more than 140 free programs per month offered by the organization.
