Video: A Taste of South Bay

Attendees of Walk With Sally's sold-out White Night White Light see an evening of food, fun and auctions.

Guests wore trendy all-white attire for the Fifth Annual White Light White Night charity event held at the future site of Shade Hotel on Harbor Drive in Redondo Beach. Saturday's function was the top fundraiser for Walk With Sally, a nonprofit offering mentoring programs for those affected by cancer.

"My mom died when I was 16, but she left a lot of love in my heart, and that's why I started this organization," said Nick Arquette, founder of Walk With Sally.

Many local restaurants, such as , were on hand providing gourmet eats for the "Taste of the South Bay" portion of the event. Proceeds from a live auction—which included everything from champagne to vacations—benefited Walk With Sally's mentor program. Money also went toward college tuition for children who have lost a parent or guardian to cancer.
