Expect Delays on PVDS Near 25th Street

As part of work on the San Ramon Canyon Storm Drain Project, travel lanes on Palos Verdes Drive South will be reduced.

Palos Verdes residents who regularly use Palos Verdes Drive South near 25th Street in San Pedro should expect traffic delays on the street Monday and Tuesday, according to an alert from Rancho Palos Verdes city staff sent Monday mid-morning.

"The contractor for the San Ramon Canyon Storm Drain Project will be reducing the travel lanes to one lane in each direction while providing flagging operations for traffic control," according to the notice.

The work will be performed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact the RPV Public Works Department at 310-544-5252.

The $20 million San Ramon Canyon project will address erosion in the San Ramon Canyon in Rancho Palos Verdes. Once completed, the project should alleviate flooding that occurs in the area during rainstorms.
