Botanic Gardens Trail to Close Monday, Tuesday
A television drama will film in the South Coast Botanic Gardens on Monday and Tuesday.
The Botanic Garden Trail along the South Coast Botanic Gardens on the Palos Verdes Peninsula will be closed Monday and Tuesday due to a television shoot.
The filming will involve simulated rapid gunfire, special effects explosives and car stunts, will be in close proximity to the horse trail, and equestrians are advised to avoid the area.
"The safety of riders and their horses is of great concern," assistant location manager Allison Cox wrote in an email to local stables.
Preparation work for the shoot started Tuesday and ends at 7 p.m. Friday. Filming will take place from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and the sets will be taken down from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
"We understand that we are guests near your neighborhood and will make our stay as respectful and enjoyable as possible," Cox said in a letter to residents.
According to the FilmLA notice, FTP Productions will be filming part of a television drama series called "Ragtag."
