The holidays can be a season of loneliness and isolation for some seniors. To brighten up their lives this time of year, Spectrum Athletic Clubs will sponsor a gift drive benefiting Home Instead Senior Care in Torrance. Members and non-members may visit the South Bay, Rolling Hills or Redondo Beach Spectrum locations to pick an ornament from a Giving Tree that will contain the name and holiday wish of a senior. Sponsors can purchase those gifts and drop them off at the club between Friday, November 29 and Sunday, December 15. Volunteers will be enlisted to help wrap and deliver the gifts and non-members who donate will receive a 3-day guest pass to Spectrum valued at $75. "We look forward to helping brighten the lives of local seniors, some of whom are forgotten about during the holidays," said Spectrum Athletic Clubs President and CEO Bud Rockhill.
Since 1999, Home Instead Senior Care has become the largest provider of non-medical home care services in North America by providing trained, bonded and insured caregivers to Torrance area seniors wishing to age in the comfort of their own home. For more information visit www.homeinstead.com.
