Seniors with Rheumatoid Arthritis should be wary of blood clots

Research suggests that individuals with Rheumatoid Arthritis may be more prone to blood clots. People with this inflammatory type of arthritis are three times as likely to develop a blood clot in the lungs, and twice as likely to develop deep vein thrombosis (usually found in the legs).

It is unknown why those with Arthritis are more susceptable to blood clots.
