Lomita Sizzler Reopens After Extreme Makeover
Sizzler celebrated the reopening of its Lomita restaurant at 2421 W. Pacific Coast Highway, following an eight month, $800,000 renovation. The restaurant, which opened in the 1970s, now features state-of-the-art digital menu boards, a new 138-seat dining room and updated exterior.
Lomita Chamber of Commerce members hosted a rededication ribbon-cutting ceremony and honored Sizzler's new Lomita general manager. Juan Avendano joined Sizzler Lomita as a dishwasher, building a career into management.
"It's a real pleasure to become the general manager, especially since I have so many great memories from when I first started here," said Avendano. "A lot of long-time friends and family eat here," added the Harbor City resident.
