Lexus Winners Announced AND Toyota Continues Commitment to PVP Public Schools

Toyota’s Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Affairs, Michael Rouse drew the winning ticket for a new Lexus at the Main Event, the Peninsula Education Foundation’s annual fundraiser held at Terranea Resort on May 10, 2014.   This year, Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. donated a new Lexus as the premier prize in the foundation’s annual raffle drawings.  The lucky winners, Nancy and Andrew MacTavish of Palos Verdes Estates, have already received their new 2014 Lexus IS-350 F Sport and are thoroughly enjoying it.   Rouse also made a surprise announcement from the Main Event stage.   “We will be donating a car to your raffle through the year 2022.  We’ll continue our long-standing commitment to this community.

For over twenty years, Toyota has generously donated a vehicle to the PEF and 100% of the donation benefits the Palos Verdes Peninsula public schools, generating over $1 million in that time.

All of the funds raised through the raffle opportunity drawing helped PEF reach its goal of $3 million for the 2013-2014 school year, which supports programs and teachers at all 17 public schools in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District.  Specifically, donations to PEF provide additional teaching positions for more manageable class sizes, important engineering and technology programs , library/media aides, Physical Education instruction, music, safe school counseling, academic counseling, and College and Career Center staff at both high schools.
