Today, Waste Management of Southern California joined by the City of Rancho Palos Verdes' Lauren Ramezani held the last of 12 classroom edible landfill presentations educating over 300 Rancho Palos Verdes elementary students. "By using edible snacks such as fruit roll ups, graham crackers and pudding, students created a visual understanding of how a landfill works and operates " said Jamilah Lang of Waste Management of Southern California. "By teaching children at an early age about waste reduction and recycling, we help promote good sustainable habits that will help shape the next generation of recycling advocates.”
