Happy Tuesday! Here are five things Palos Verdes residents should know this week:

1. The Rancho Palos Verdes City Council will meet at 7 p.m. today at the Hesse Park Community Room.
2. The Palos Verdes Estates City Council and Planning Commission will host a joint meeting from 5:30-6:30 p.m. today. The agenda is available online.
3. Is your business offering any Thanksgiving or Black Friday deals? Tell us about them in a post on our Business Updates board! Announcements appear on the side of almost all articles, on the boards and in the daily newsletter. Plus, posts that are well-written, include a photo, aren't overly promotional and don't have headlines written in all capital letters have a good chance of being featured more prominently on the front page.
