Quick Hits: Classes Commence in PVPUSD

Here are some things to look forward to today on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Happy Friday! Here are five things Palos Verdes residents should know today:

  1. Today is the first day of classes for students in Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District. Both Palos Verdes and Palos Verdes Peninsula high schools will be on a minimum day schedule.
  2. In Palos Verdes Estates, crews will be resurfacing Paseo Del Mar in front of the Neighborhood Church; Palos Verdes Drive West (middle section) between Via Corta and Paseo Del Mar; and the westbound lanes of Palos Verdes Drive North between Via Alameda and the triangle area. Crews will keep at least one lane open on Palos Verdes Drive West at all times.
  3. The Rolling Hills Estates City Council will not meet tonight.
  4. In case you missed it, Monday's top headline was Diver Dies off Rancho Palos Verdes Coast.
  5. Today's photo of the day was posted by Roger Wollstadt in Flickr's Creative Commons. Want to submit your own?
