PV Man Allegedly Tied to Child Sex Ring

A Palos Verdes man is allegedly linked to an international child pornography site known as Dreamboard, which specializes in the sexual abuse of children 12 and under, federal officials said Wednesday.

Kevin R. Casey, 38, is one of six Southland men allegedly tied to the site. The others are Stephen Fairbanks, 35, of LaVerne; Jason Simon, 42, of Glendale; Stephen Perez, 23, of Santa Ana; Jerry Wright, 55, of Santa Ana; and Larry Ridley, 32, of Anaheim.

Prosecutors said more than 500 additional members of Dreamboard are under investigation.

The website rewarded members with more access to child pornography when members contributed new images of young children, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

Seventy-two people have been charged in three indictments and all but 20 have been arrested in the U.S. and abroad, ICE officials said.

"The members of this criminal network shared a demented dream to create the preeminent online community for the promotion of child sexual exploitation," Attorney General Eric Holder said. "For the children they victimized, this was nothing short of a nightmare."
