Peninsula High Teacher Due Back in Court Tuesday

Anthony Angellano, arrested on sex charges last week, is scheduled to receive his preliminary hearing date Tuesday.

The dance instructor who last week to charges he had a sexual relationship with a teenage student four years ago is due back in court Tuesday.

A preliminary hearing date is scheduled to be set for Anthony Angellano, 36, of Wilmington.

Angellano is charged with five counts of oral copulation with a minor and one count of digital penetration with a minor.

In August, a woman told authorities she had a sexual relationship with Angellano while she was a student at Peninsula High School. The woman alleged the relationship occurred during 2006-07 when she was 16 or 17 years old, Los Angeles police Capt. William Hayes said.

This information led detectives to a woman believed to be a second victim, who alleged to having a sexual relationship with Angellano more than a decade ago when she was about 16 years old. No charges were filed in that case because the statute of limitations had passed.
